2009 Charity Softball Game

WBOY-TV and WDTV came together on a hot and humid Sunday afternoon at the Spelter Volunteer Fire Department Field, to play a game for United Way. Softball fans and United Way supporters witnessed a true spirit of friendly competition and everyone was a part of giving back to their community. WBOY held onto the lead for the first half of the game, and then WDTV took the lead and kept it. Although there may be some debate on what the actual final score was…the real winners here are; the United Way of Harrison County, the 23 agencies they support and ultimately, the people of our community. Many thanks to all who made this event a success.
