| Full Description: |
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is a program where trained court appointed volunteers represent the best interest of an abused or neglected child for whom placement is being determined by the court. A CASA volunteer acts as a fact finder for the child's best interest, providing the judge with valuable information about the child to help the court make a sound decision about the child's future.
Every child has limitless potential that can only be met with the support of caring adults in their lives. No matter what the circumstances may be, a caring person can make the difference for a child who has been abused or neglected.
In your community there are people who are making a difference in the lives of children. For many of them, a CASA volunteer is the first person in their lives they can count on. CASA works for kids because caring people are willing to offer unconditional support.
You can BE the DIFFERENCE in the life of a child. Volunteer. Be the voice that represents an abused or neglected child in court. There are many children on the waiting list for a CASA volunteer right now. CASA volunteers receive training and support for this important job. Please contact us today to learn how to get involved!
