2010 Campaign Cabinet

It takes numerous volunteers, working together, to ensure a successful fundraising campaign for United Way of Harrison County. The campaign cabinet is one group in particular that has an essential role in raising funds to help our neighbors in need.

Tom Gorrell has recruited a top-notch group of volunteers to lead this year's campaign to a successful conclusion.

The composition of the cabinet begins with division chairs. Chairing divisions for 2010 are: Commerce Division, Tammy Welling, Chase Bank; Education Division: Ed Propst, Harrison County Alternative Learning Center; Emerging Leaders: Amber Morrison, Northwestern Mutual Financial Network; Health Care Division: Melanie Chancey, United Hospital Center; Leadership Division: Pam Preston, WBOY TV, and David Preston, AGC Flat Glass North America; Manufacturing Division: Lisa Price, Medical Action Industries; Natural Resources Division: Sara Aman, Excel Energy; Professionals Division: Debra Duarte, MSES Consultants; Public Services Division: Marsha Allman, Harrison County Sheltered Workshop; Retail: Gary Bowden, Gary R. Bowden Advertising & Marketing; Each of these divisions is further supported by a network of section chairs and account volunteers who contact businesses and organizations in the fundraising effort.

The 2010 campaign will also benefit from a special team of volunteers known as Loaned Executives. Through the generous support of our community partners, these professionals are "loaned" to United Way of Harrison County to work on the campaign. Loaned Executives, Susan Berry Tamminga, community volunteer and Lisa Henderson, UHC will provide the United Way the added support necessary to get the job done.

"A heightened interest in corporate social responsibility is continuing to make a positive impact on our community," said Battles. "Many local businesses have faithfully supported United Way of Harrison County throughout the years. Through their commitment to our community, United Way and its member agencies will continue to improve the quality of life for thousands in need."
